About Us
The St. Louis bear community organization behind HiBearNation.
Show Me Bears was founded in St. Louis in 1993 as a social and charitable organization dedicated to the bear community. For more than three decades, the organization has brought people together through friendship, fellowship, fundraising, community service, and support for LGBTQ+ causes throughout the St. Louis region.
HiBearNation began in 1996 as Show Me Bears' signature annual gathering. Since then, it has welcomed bears, cubs, admirers, friends, and chosen family from near and far for a weekend of connection, entertainment, celebration, and charitable giving. In 2027, HiBearNation returns to St. Louis for its 30th anniversary - a homecoming that honors the people, stories, and community that have shaped the Den.
